Physics Unpar - @ physicsunpar- successfully held an international teacher workshop titled Workshop of Active Learning in Optics and Photonics (ALOP) for the second time!

ALOP is a program initiated by UNESCO in improving the quality of learning, especially in the field of physics. This activity was held in collaboration with FTIS Unpar with UNESCO, the Center for Young Scientists (CYS), The International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE), the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and Pudak Scientific. The speakers also came from various countries such as the United States, Australia and the Philippines.

As many as 30 participants who were physics teachers from all over Indonesia and a participant from Pakistan, gained new knowledge about PODS learning methods. This method invites students to understand physics through phenomena that occur everyday. It is expected that students will be able to change their mindset and outlook, and learn physics independently.

ALOP 2019 is one of Unpar's steps to contribute to advancing the world of education, especially in Indonesia, by facilitating educators to understand new ways of learning that can enhance the enthusiasm of learning of the younger generation!
