Technology development cannot be separated from science, as well as the other way. Various high technology equipment related to science have been used in hospitals to support patients’ treatments or in laboratory for scientific research.

Science technology should also be introduced to school students to support their science education to be in the same page as science technology development. Therefore, Pudak Scientific provide the Computer Based Experiment System (CBES) to be used in schools for a fun and easier experiment and faster data obtain.

On Saturday, October 24, 2015, Pudak Scientific held a science technology workshop under the name of “Workshop of Media and Technology Application on Biology Experiment for High School” which was attended by biology teachers from various school in Indonesia.

The workshop begun with the presentation by Mr. Kusnadi, M.Si. about technology development in educational world He is a microbiology lecturer from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia who usually give trainings in various region in Indonesia.

In this workshop participant conducted several experiments by using the experiment equipment operated by computer. Measurements required for this experiment was conducted by using sensors and Coach 6 software, thus the experiment was easier and faster, the result could be monitored continuously.

The sensors and computer were used to do the following experiment:

• Oxygen rate measurement on photosynthesis experiment
• Dissolved oxygen rate measurement on water plant photosynthesis experiment
• Heart rate measurement on various condition by observing the blood stream on the finger tip using the ECG/EKG sensor
• Water purification by using various ingredients while observing the changes of salinity, pH, and turbidity

The workshop activities that were lead by Pudak Scientific’s RD and Technical Support team was ended by question and answer session and closing ceremony at 5 p.m. western Indonesian time.
