On January 25, 2014 Pudak Scientific, in collaboration with PT. Sempurna, has organized the Science Laboratory Management Training for Elementary, Junior and Senior High School Teachers, and Laboratory Assistants. This training was not carried out at Pudak Scientific location in Bandung, but held in Batam, Province of Kepulauan Riau. This was also the first training held in Batam. The speaker was Pudak Scientific's instructor.

The training was attended by 26 participants that consist of Elementary, Junior and Senior High School Teachers and Laboratory Assistants from Batam and Tanjung Pinang.

The participants received motivation and guidance to be able to properly manage their schools’ labs. In addition, participants were also given the opportunity to perform lab simulation presented by the instructor.

The lab simulations include:

• Observation of stomata on leaves
• Insects respiration
• Life in a drop of water
• Basic mechanic measurement by using calipers and micrometer
• Basic electricity measurement by using multimeter and Basic Meter
• Power supply and transformer experiment
• Basic training of Chemistry practice

Participants indicated that they rarely do practices in learning activities. Therefore, they participants were very enthusiastic with this training, which was obvious from their questions and answers about laboratories and their active participation in the practice simulation session.

By the training and hands-on experience in this workshop, teachers are expected to be better in managing their school labs, preparing necessary equipments and materials, conducting high creativity activities in laboratory, and maintaining the lab and its contents. Thus the teachers can properly perform the lab activities in their teaching-learning process.
