Science laboratory is an important facility in a school learning process. However, there are many laboratories that have not been used properly. One of the reasons of this situation is the poor management of the laboratory.
 
On July 4, 2015, a laboratory management workshop had been held. This event attended by 15 participants from West Java, Central Java, DKI Jakarta, and Banten.

Even though this event was held during Ramadan month and most participants were fasting, they still have their enthusiasm in following this workshop. This event opened by M. Ikhsan pahlawan, S.Pd – Pudak Scientific’s technical support staff for biology and tutor – who presented an explanation about laboratory equipment. The activity was continued by a presentation from Dr. Yunia, M.Pd. that emphasized about the importance of laboratory equipment usage and its maintenance, because those equipment is an mandate that should be used properly.

The second session of this workshop was industrial visit and experiment practice guided by tutors from Pudak Scientific, M.Ihksan Pahlawan and Toho F. Situmorang.  The experiments practiced included:

• Observing leaf’s stomata
• Insect respiration
• Basic measurement by using vernier calipers and screw micrometer
• Power supply check
• Basic meter usage
• Smoke forming reaction
• Acid rain reaction

This workshop finished at 5 p.m. western Indonesian time. We would like to thank and appreciate participants who maintained their enthusiasm until the end of this event.
