Learning Together during Ramadan in the Basic Level of Laboratory Management Training

On July 19, 2014, Pudak Scientific held another Basic Level of Laboratory Management Training. Although this activity was held during Ramadan, the participants were still motivated and enthusiastic in following the training activities.

Dr. Hj. Yunita, M.Pd., as the main speaker, emphasized on the importance of laboratory management for the schools that have laboratory, because a lab is a mandate entrusted that should be took care of and to be used optimally.

During the practice session, participants conducted some experiments, such as:
  • Making solution
  • Observing stomata on a leaf
  • Observing insect’s respiration
  • Introduction, usage, and simple care of measuring tools (caliper, multi meter, basic meter, screw micro meter)
A factory visit was also conducted during this event, in order to add insight to the participant about the making of educational aids. Therefore, participant will know how to properly take care and maintain the various tools.

The last but not least training activities were doing post tests and filling out questionnaires. Participants received souvenir, a special designed beaker for training participants. Hopefully this training, particularly because it was held during Ramadan, will improve the participants’ knowledge, motivation, and creativity, and also bring blessing to all of us.

Our next training will be the “Advanced Science Lab. Management Training for Teachers and Lab. Assistants”, which will be held on August 9, 2014. The speaker will be Dr. Galuh Yuliani, M.Si. (complete schedule).
