The strong will of teachers and laboratory assistants to learn on how to carefully manage science laboratory in schools makes Pudak Scientific always do the best effort to accommodate it. The workshop schedule which has been arranged for a year is the proof of our priority and effort in education improvements.

On Thursday, September 5, 2013, a National Workshop on Laboratory Managmenet has been held, took place at Pudak Scientific's Science Laboratory Room, Gedebage - Bandung. Acting as the speaker was Dr. Yunita, M.Pd.

This wokshop was attended not only by the teachers from Java but also from other cities outside Java, such as Gorontalo (Sulawesi), Bengkulu (Sumatera) and Samarinda (Kalimantan). They were educators from:

• SMA Negeri 5 Kota Bengkulu
• SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Samarinda – Kalimantan Timur
• SMA Kristen Penabur Cirebon
• SMA Perguruan Rakyat 1 – Jakarta Selatan
• SMA Negeri 1 Kota Cirebon
• SMA Negeri 8 Bandung

The speaker said that the current curriculum requires teachers to profesionally manage laboratories. By attending this workshop, the teachers have been indicating one of their scientific attitude as educators which is considered be very important.

The main subject of the workshop was how to manage the school labs in correct way, starting from adminstration system, setting up and maintenance of the equipments and materials. Furthermore the speaker explained that management system planning is an important foundation in school laboratory management. The topic was disscussed in depth, so that workshop participants became more enthusiastic.

Beside theories, the participants were given the chance to do some experiments on Physics, Biology and Chemistry using our lab equipments which became an added knowledge for them in using the tools.

Through this workshop, hopefully the teachers and laboratory assistants can become better managers in arranging, planning and conducting activities in school labs.
