We recently have held a National Level Laboratory Management Training for Junior and Senior High School Teachers and Laboratory Assistants on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Pudak Scientific's Science Laboratorium Training Room, Gedebage, Bandung. Acting as the speaker was Dr. Yunita, M.Pd.

The workshop was participated by 32 people who came from West Java and DKI Jakarta, those are:

• MTs Al Falah, SMA Negeri 1 Lembang – Kab. Bandung Barat
• SMA Negeri 9 Garut, SMA PGRI Kurnia, MAN 1 Garut – Kab. Garut
• SMK Negeri 1 Jamblang – Kota Cirebon
• SMA Labschool – Kota Jakarta Timur
• SMA Muhammadiyah 13 Jakarta – Kota Jakarta Barat
• SMA Islam Al Azhar 1, SMA Gonzaga – Kota Jakarta Selatan
• SMA Negeri 12 Bandung, SMK Negeri 11 Bandung – Kota Bandung
• SMP Negeri 2 Rancakalong, SMP Negeri 9 Sumedang, SMP Negeri 1 Ganeas, SMP Negeri 3 Cimalaka – Kab. Sumedang
• SMP Negeri 6 Kuningan, SMP Negeri 1 Jalaksana – Kab. Kuningan
• SMA Sudirman – Kota Bekasi

In this training, the participants were required to be able to manage school laboratories, to carefully manage the administration of tools and materials, and to be able to use the science laboratory equipments properly.

The practicum conducted by participants were:

• Chemistry module: Solution making, Solution dilution
• Biology module: Observation of stomata on leaves using microscope, Measuring the rate of respiratory on insect using respirometer
• Physics module: Basic mechanical measurement using vernier caliper and screw micrometer, Basic electronical measurement using basic meter and multi meter, Power supply and iron core on a transformer

This Laboratory Management Training uses a one day training format and individual tasks that have to be completed by the participants in order to meet the 2 x 8 hours training quota.
