The Science Laboratory Management Training on Saturday, December 6, 2014 had once again presented Dr. Yunita, M.Pd as the speaker. She is a chemistry lecturer of Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Thirty three participants attended this event. They are from West Java (Regency of Cianjur, Indramayu, Bandung, Cirebon, and Bogor, DKI Jakarta (North Jakarta, South Jakarta, and West Jakarta, banten (Regency of Pandeglang and South Tangerang), and East Java (Regency of Bangkalan).

Dr. Yunita explained various topics regarding education and science laboratory that include four teacher types, chemicals ingredients and types, introduction of science experiments tools, science experiments tools arrangement in laboratory, as well as the science experiment tools usage. Participants were very much interested in discussing these topics and proposed many questions.

In the next session, participants had practices on how to correctly using experiments tools, guided by Pudak Scientific Team. Participants had experiments that include the topic of physics, chemistry, and biology: 

• Measuring powder chemicals
• Making chemical solution
• Observing cricket respiration
• Observing leaves stomata by using microscope
• Measurement by using caliper, micrometer screw, and ruler
• Analog stopwatch usage for time measurement
• Voltage and current measurement on Ohm law experiment by using the basic meter
• Voltage measurement on the step-up and step-down transformer circuit
• Power supply stabilization test

Dr. Yunita expected that by attending this training, teachers/laboratory assistant will be able to improve experiment activities and able to properly use the experiments tools.


Our next training will be the “Advance Science Laboratory Management for Teachers and Laboratory Assitants”, which will be conducted on December 13, 2014, with Dr.Yunita M. Pd. as the speaker.
