After our successful trainings in 2013, on the first month of this year we - with the commitment to continuously improve the quality of education – have begun our training for teachers and education practitioners for 2014. The first training was the Laboratory Management Training for Junior and Senior High School Teachers and Laboratory Assistants. The training was held on January 18, 2014, which took place at Pudak Scientific Laboratory Training Room, Jl. Mekar Raya Kav. 12 Gedebage, Bandung. This training was attended by 13 participants that include Teachers, Laboratory assistants, and University students.

The speaker in this training was Dr. Yunita, M.Pd. She was very excited about this laboratory management training. The training began with delivering guidance and motivation for participants, thus they would be able to properly manage the laboratories in their schools. Participants also received basic knowledge about the laboratory equipments and materials management.

Participants also had the chance to do some lab practices that often carried out in schools. The practices carried out include:

• Chemistry practice on electrolysis
• Biology practice on leave’s stomata observation
• Physics practice on basic measurements

The participants were very enthusiastic participating in this training, in addition they also had the opportunity to try some equipment produced by Pudak that were displayed.

Through this training, participants are expected to be motivated to properly manage their lab. Moreover, they are also expected to be able to develop a lab based learning activities to improve the learning quality.
