This training for madrasah tsanawiyah teachers of West Java province was held to improve the teaching quality and science educational aids usage. This training was organized in cooperation of Pudak Scientific and Chemistry Education Department of Tarbiyah Faculty of Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati, Bandung, as well as the Regional Office and the Training Center of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Java Province. The training under the name of “Training of Science Laboratory Management for Madrasah Tsanawiyah Teachers” was the first training for the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Ninety six participants attended this event. They are science teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah from 26 regencies/cities of West Java province.
This event was held for two days. The activity for the first day was a seminar regarding the science laboratory management that was presented by Dr. Yunita, M. Pd, from the Chemistry Education Department of Tarbiyah Faculty of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. In this seminar she also explained about waste management and science laboratory administration. The first day event was held in Balai Diklat Departemen Agama (the training center of Ministry of Religious Affairs) on Monday, December 8, 2014.

The second day event, on December 9, 2014, was educational aids workshop. The workshop was held at Pudak Training Center (PTC), Jl. Mekar Raya, Kav. 12, Gedebage, Bandung. The workshop was started by chemistry’s games by Dr. Yunita, M.Pd and Pudak Scientific Team, which conveyed the importance of educational aids to support science learning process in madrasah. Pudak Scientific Team also explained the basics activities in science laboratory, such as the basic techniques of chemistry laboratory, microscope usage and maintenances, basic mechanical measurement, basic electrical measurement, transformer test, and ohm law experiment. This second day activities were conducted in 3 parallel classes, and was continued with industrial visit to Pudak Scientific plant.

Participants considered this training was beneficial. One participant from Cianjur expressed that this was the first training he had attended, and he would like to attend other training on other topic. 

In this event, to promote the Pudak Loves Teachers movement, Pudak Scientific was also gave away the pins. Through this, Pudak Scientific would like to socialize that as the educational aids producer, Pudak Scientific has a mission to improve Indonesian teachers’ quality in optimizing the educational aids usage. By attending this event, these madrasah teachers were expected to be more active to attempt the better madrasah in the future.
