Training of Competence Enhancement and Mastery of Science Experiment Equipment Usage of Balikpapan was held on May 22, 2014, at SMA Negeri 7 of Balikpapan. Participants who attended the training were 43 science teachers, of physics, chemistry, and biology. The event was also attended by the Head of Education and the head of Secondary Education of the Education Agency of Balikpapan, who opened the event.

On this event, participants were presented with a presentation about the science laboratory management matters such as administration, safety, and the waste disposal method. On the next session, participants were invited to know and use the laboratory equipment. In great enthusiasm and with the guide of Pudak's team, participants performed science lab work concerning physics, chemistry, and biology such as:

• Oscilloscope calibrating and reading
• Measuring the electrical current and voltage by using basic Meter and multimeter
• Test of automatic fuse usage and stabilization of power supply
• Measuring animal respiration rates (cricket) by using simple respirometer
• Observing stomata on a green leaves
• Using filler pipette on making solution
• Making solution and dilution of the solution made

One of participants said:"This kind of training is essential to improve laboratory activities, although there are lot of experiment equipment in school, it is not guarantee that those equipment are used, due to lack of teacher's knowledge about how to use those equipment. Hopefully this training can be a regular event with more specific topics”.

The last session was the question and answer session, and door prizes was awarded for anyone that could answer questions provided by Pudak's trainer team.
