On October 31, 2015, Pudak Scientific had once again held the Workshop of Advanced Science Laboratory Management. This workshop was held at Pudak Training Center (PTC), Gedebage, Bandung and was attended by 21 participants from various region of Indonesia.

The main speaker for this workshop was Dr. Galuh Yuliani, M.Si. She was a lecturer of the Chemistry Education Department of UPI Bandung. She emphasized on the work safety in laboratory which often neglected by teachers as the leader of experiment activities in school. Experiment’s participants as well as the teacher should aware about the danger and the action should be taken during emergency situation, thus activities in laboratory will be safe.

In the simulation session, participants were invited to simulate various activities related to laboratory safety that included:

• Simulation of Laboratory Management
• Simulation of Equipments and Ingredients
• Simulation of Waste Disposal
• Simulation of Earthquake and Fire Handle in Laboratory

Workshop was continues by the experiment session. Participants were invited to do several laboratory experiments that included:

• Calibration of 311 Balance
• Usage and Setting of Ticker Timer
• Technique of Basic Surgery
• Blood Type Test

The workshop finished at 17.00 WIB, participant was satisfied with this workshop. One participant said to Pudak Scientific’s team that this workshop was very fun and beneficial. We hope this workshop for teachers and laboratory assistants will optimize laboratory usage in school and will affect to the improvement of Indonesian education, in accordance with our purpose to be actively involved to improve Indonesian education.
