Mathematics is usually a frightening thing for students, even though mathematics is the basic to learn science. During mathematics learning activity, it is common that teachers only teach formulas and calculation. As the result, students know how to calculate, but they do not understand the application in daily life. This is the concerning aspect in mathematics learning in Indonesia. Based on that problem, Pudak Scientific had once again held mathematic workshop, th e”Workshop of Educational Aids Usage in Mathematics Learning.

Took place at Pudak Training Center, in Gedebage, Bandung, this workshop was begun with a lecture conveyed by the main speaker, Mrs. Dianne Amor, M.Pd., a mathematics lecturer of Universitas Padjadjaran. She emphasized about the importance of educational aids usage in mathematics to make it less abstract to students.

After the first session, participants had photo session and lunch. At 1 p.m., the workshop conducted at July 13, 2017, was continued by having industrial visit to Pudak Scientific’s factory to see the production process of Pudak Scientific’s products. The purpose of this factory visit is to introduce the education aids world to participants.

After industrial visit, participants had a hand-on experience in using mathematics educational aids items. The educational aids tried included:

• Integer Bar
• Mathematical Balance
• Algebra Block,
• Number Playing Mats
• Algebra Wrap-ups
• Plus-Minus Block
• and many more

The workshop was ended at 5 p.m. Participants were satisfied with this workshop because they learned many new things through the workshop activities. We hope that through this workshop we could continue to actively involved in improving Indonesian education.
