In accordance with our mission to actively involve in improving Indonesian education, Pudak Scientific once again held a workshop to improve teachers’ competences. This workshop called the “Workshop of Laboratory Management, Basic level”. This workshop was for teachers, particularly science teachers who interested in improving their competence in managing their school laboratory.

The workshop attended by 15 participants from various regions in Java was held at Pudak Training Center in Gedebage, Bandung. The workshop started at 9.00 a.m. western Indonesian time by a lecture by Dr. Yunita M. Pd., a lecturer of Chemistry Education Department of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. She is very experienced in managing laboratories in Indonesia, she was also a trainer for the national team of science Olympic in Nigeria when she was a lecturer in UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. She was very excited in conveying her material to all workshop participants. She said that the important thing is that participants will be motivated to improve and manage their laboratory.

After that, participants of workshop on July 22, 2017 had photo session, then they are allowed to have a break and lunch. Next, participants were invited to visit Pudak Scientific’s factory to see the production of Pudak Scientific’s products. In this visit, they saw the production process of glassware products.

After factory visit, workshop was continue by having experiments, that included:

• solution making
• setting up the Chemistry Kit
• leaf’s stomata observation
• basic measurement by using calipers, micrometer screw and basic meter
• power supply test

Participants were very enthusiastic and actively discussing, most of them asked Pudak Scientific’s instructors that mentoring participants during the experiments. One participant said that this workshop was really fun because they have various new knowledges and had a fun experiment activity.

We wished that this workshop can be a facility for Indonesian educators to keep motivated in improving Indonesian educators.
