On Saturday, April 18, 2015, Pudak Scientific held a workshop in Pudak Training Center, which was the the Workshop of Physic Practice in the Mechanics Concept in School. The first session was a seminar by Dr. Lilik Hasanah, M.Si., a physic lecturer of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. She encouraged participants to explore the application of physic particularly mechanics in everyday life in order to realize that physic is very useful in today’s modern life.

After break, participants who came from various regions in West Java and DKI Jakarta were invited to visit Pudak Scientific’s factory. Participants were very enthusiastic in seeing the making of Pudak Scientific’s educational aids products. After factory visit, participants were invited to do some experiments, which included:

• Measurement of water flow by using Bernoulli cylinder
• Measurement of glycerin viscosity 
• Atwood experiment
• Inertia moment experiment
• Experiment of uniform rectilinear motion and accelerated uniform motion by using dynamic train and ticker timer
• Hooke experiment and vibration on springs

Participants were very active following this experiment session because most participants already have Pudak Scientific’s educational aids but did not know how to use it properly. Therefore, this workshop was very useful for participants, the asked many questions regarding the experiments and educational aids used.

We always wished our workshops will be useful for all teachers in Indonesia, in accordance with our mission to actively involve in improving the education quality in Indonesia.
