Pudak Scientific as the biggest educational aids manufacturer in Indonesia once again held the Workshop of Science and Mathematics Teaching Aids Development for elementary level on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Pudak Training Center (PTC), Gedebage, Bandung. This workshop was held with the purpose of improving educational quality in Indonesia, particularly the elementary school education.

This workshop was attended by 29 elementary school teachers from West Java and DKI Jakarta and was held in three sessions. During the first session Mrs. Agus Fany Chandra Wijaya, M.Pd., a physics education lecturer of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, discussed about the importance of educational aids in developing learning medium of mathematics and science. The second session of this workshop was a presentation by Mrs. Rie Takahashi, representative of Gakken Japan, who conveyed about the “STEAM education” and the “21 century skill”, emphasized that Indonesian teachers should prepare their students for future era competition.

To inspire participants in developing learning medium, during the third session, participants were given the opportunity to use Pudak Scientific educational aids products and had some experiments by using the products. The experiments were conducted by using Pudak Scientific’s education aids of MAPER, MASDA, and MAPELA, as well as Gakken products. 

This workshop finished at 5 p.m Indonesian western time. One participant conveyed that this workshop was fun and useful.

We wished that through this workshop, teachers will be able to develop learning medium in order to improve the quality of Indonesian education.
